Video Suggestion Of The Week

12 Monkeys (1995)
Director: Terry Gilliam
Cast: Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt, Madeleine Stowe, Christopher Plummer, Jon Seda

A man journeys back for the future to stop the release of a world wide plauge.

An underated movie that is actually good. You don't get much in the way of nudity (a quick look at Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis' butts and a distant frontal of Bruce). But it is one of those movies that you can watch several times and get something new out of it that you missed the first several times.

As I See It - By Greg Gorman
Greg Gorman's photo essay of nude male celebrites has been long out of print. However, Amazon seems to have them available for sale again. I don't know if they found a few lost boxes or if this is a new print run but either way I'd get one while they are available since the first run didn't last long.

Oz - The Complete Second Season
The second season of HBO's violent men-behind-bars drama is an addictive, testosterone-driven soap opera for guys. The second season introduces Christopher Meloni's character (Chris Keller) who will have a powerful impact of the every-man personality of Tobias Beecher (Lee Tergensen) setting up the gay love story that will twist and turn its sometimes brutal way throughout the rest of the series. Created by Homicide producer Tom Fontana.

Oz - The Complete First Season
HBO's violent men-behind-bars drama is an addictive, testosterone-driven soap opera for guys. The eight episodes of the first season set the style for the show: a massive cast of a vivid characters on both sides of the bars, four or five stories unleashed at a breakneck pace and framed by angry, oddball introductions, and a soaring casualty rate. Created by Homicide producer Tom Fontana, this drama quickly earned its rightful reputation as the most brutal show on TV. It's simple chemistry: combine volatile ingredients in a confined space, shut tight, and shake.

Total Eclipse
A recommendation from a visitor to the site. He liked it because you can see a full frontal shot of Leonardo DiCaprio (also several good shots of David Thewlis). I've seen it, and it is a good movie if you are into historicals. It is a biographical account about the love affair between the two French poets Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud (both male).

All the Right Moves
Another visitor recommendation. This time because you get a brief glimpse of Tom Cruise's dangly-bit. You can only see it for a few frames, but if you're been wanting a look at Tom's manhood, this is the movie to check out. I really didn't enjoy this flim. That probably stems from not having much interest in football or Tom Cruise. Most reviews however give it a thumbs up so I'm probably in the minority.

Wild Things
Great movie! You don't get to the frontal shot of Kevin Bacon in the shower until almost the end of the movie but what a ride it is!
This movie has so many twists and turns than you'll get whiplash. A thumbs-up movie even without the nudity.

Tales of the City
The first of the must see mini-series. This one doesn't have as much nudity as the follow-up More Tales of the City, but is has some (Bill Campbell's butt and a partial rear of Thomas Gibson) but it does have a wonderful and entertaining story. Based on the novel by Armistead Maupin was followed up by the mini-series More Tales of the City that was produced by and aired on Showtime. Both mini-series are highly recommended.

More Tales of the City
A must see mini-series. Not only is there a lot of male nudity, but a wonderful and entertaining story. Based on the novel by Armistead Maupin it is the sequel to the Tales of the City that ran on PBS several years ago. Both mini-series are highly recommended. And best of all More Tales of the City has also been released on DVD! Now we just have to hope they re-release Tales on DVD.

New Year's Day
A writer tries to reclaim his apartment which he has sublet.  Pretentious and talkative. The main reason to see it is for David Duchovny's full frontal scene.
It has finally been released at a for sale price. Not too long ago you couldn't find this video for less than $100! Also try Columbia House Video Club if you are a member you can purchase it for under $10!

Available from Amazon.com on VHS

Box of Moonlight
An uptight engineer falls for a free spirit and finds that he likes the more liberated life.
Not the best movie in the world, but you get a good look at Sam Rockwell and a brief glimpse of  John Turturro from the front.

Available from Amazon.com on VHS and DVD

Color of Night
A psychologist takes over the practice of a murdered friend after a patient committs suicide only to get involved in a mystery and a lot of sex.  The plot is rather inane, but you get several eyes full of Bruce Willis.
Look for the Director's Cut version.

Available from Amazon.com on VHS

City of Angels
An angel falls to earth in order to feel love. More Hollywood than the German film Wings of Desire that inspired it, but still delightful and entertaining.
And for all of you Nicolas Cage fans he has a brief frontal shot in it.
