Board Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about the board. 

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?

 No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. If there is any abuse of this ability the feature will be disabled.

Why don't the  and  graphics do anything when I click on them?

 The  and  graphics are there only to let you know that the message contains either a picture and/or website link. Please do not ask to have the board setup so that clicking on the link will show the picture. If the poster when to all the trouble of including a picture or site link the least you can do is read their message.

How do you include a picture in a post?

 It is really very simple.

Include the full URL link to a picture in the Optional Image URL field when entering a message.

Do not use a link to an HTM/HTML file that will make people's browsers try and retrieve an HTML file as a graphic, which of course doesn't work. You need point to an actual picture (JPG/GIF file) and not an HTML page.

An example is: http://www.myserver.com/mydirectory/mypicture.jpg

If you want to include a link to a page inlcude the full URL in the Optional Link URL field and a title for the page in the Link Title field.

Full URL means the full URL address. That means the "http://" as well as the server, directory and file name.

Why didn't my post show up?

 Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. To reload the page hold down the SHIFT key and click on your browser's reload button. The will force it to get a new copy of the page from the server. If the board is within a frame you can Right-Click on the frame and select the "Reload Frame" option as well.

What isn't allowed in posts?

 Your post can contain most anything. The exceptions are:
   Requests for or the passwords to websites.
   Requests for or links to backdoors.
   Any illegal activity.
   Posts containing links to sites that promise things that aren't there.
   Posts containing links to sites that promise things you have to pay for before seeing.
   Posts with broken image links.
   The endless stream of list your ## favorite whatevers.
     Who do you think are the ## sexiest whoevers.
     List the ## guys that have the best [insert body part here].
   Posts of guys that are only famous for taking their clothes off.
   Most Boy Band crap will be deleted.
     - There are no real pictures and I'm tired of the board being over run with poor quality fakes.
   Things that have absolutely nothing what-so-ever to do with celebrities.
   Anything that I later find that I don't like and isn't currently included here.

 The scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/. Enjoy!
The version you will get there is not identical to this version as it has had several modifications made to the perl code.
