If James Franco was uncomfortable kissing another man, should he just lie about it and claim it was perfectly natural to him? In our concerns about homophobia, etc., would we rather people be dishonest about their feelings? Isn't it better for them to be forthright, so that there can be an open dialogue about the subject?
Also, perhaps it wasn't so much the idea of kissing another man that bothered him (especially when considering that if he truly had some kind of deep-seated problem with it, he wouldn't have accepted the role in the first place), but rather the level of intimacy in the kiss that caught him off guard.
